Twelve Roosterfish Highlight the Cabo Fishing Experience During This Charter

January 17 brought Matt, Ryan, Crystal, and Courtney aboard the Blue Star for an eight-hour Cabo San Lucas sportfishing excursion.

The charter began at 6:00 AM, with Captain Jorge overseeing the morning and early-afternoon fishing activities aboard the 32-foot Luhrs.

Twelve roosterfish accounted for the overwhelming majority of the day's recorded catch, making them the defining species of the outing.

Known for their distinctive, comb-like dorsal fins, roosterfish are among the most recognizable gamefish found around Cabo San Lucas.

A dredge system was included in the fishing arrangements, while Manuel provided drone services for the charter.

The twelve-roosterfish tally established a notable result for the Blue Star's January fishing record.

One Marlin Completes the Cabo Offshore Fishing Results for This Private Charter

Alongside the twelve roosterfish, the Blue Star recorded one marlin, bringing the final tally to 13 fish across two species.

The marlin added a billfish component to the day's results, complementing the substantial roosterfish catch.

The combination created a mixed-species Cabo sportfishing record featuring two very different types of gamefish.

For anglers following Cabo marlin fishing and roosterfish catches, this January 17 excursion documents both species during one private charter.

The Blue Star completed its scheduled outing at 2:00 PM, concluding the group's eight-hour fishing experience with 13 recorded fish.
