Privacy Policy

How MexicoFishReports.com collects, uses and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to www.mexicofishreports.com, operated by Sportfishing Report Inc ("Company", "we"), and governs data collection and usage on this site. Mexico Fish Reports is a fishing news and information site and part of the SportfishingReports Network. By using this website, you consent to the data practices described here.

Information you give us

You can read everything on this site without an account, and we do not collect personal information unless you choose to give it to us. The only place that happens is the contact form: when you send a message we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message by email, and use them only to reply to you and handle your request.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information about each visit — your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the time of the visit and the referring website. We use it to run and secure the site and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used.

We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit and how long you stay. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Our contact form is protected by hCaptcha to stop spam; hCaptcha may collect technical information about your device when you use the form. See the hCaptcha Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This site does not set its own login or tracking cookies; the cookies you may see come from Google Analytics and hCaptcha as described above. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change your browser settings to decline them — the site will still work.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or lease personal information to anyone. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us run the site (such as our web host and email provider), only to provide those services to us and subject to confidentiality. We may disclose information if required by law or in the good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with legal process, protect the rights or property of the Company, or protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

Links to other websites

Fish reports, boats and network pages link to other websites, including charter operators and other SportfishingReports Network sites. Links to other sites carry tracking parameters (UTM tags) that tell those sites the visit came from Mexico Fish Reports; they do not identify you. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites, and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Security

This site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access or alteration, but no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Your rights and deletion requests

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, or to delete it. On receipt of a verifiable request we will delete your information from our records and direct our service providers to do the same, unless we need to keep it to comply with a legal obligation.

Children under thirteen

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian for permission before using this website, and do not send us personal information.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When changes are significant we will note them on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
