A Marlin Catch Marks a New Year's Day Cabo Fishing Charter

Brian and Holly began January 1, 2026, with a private fishing excursion aboard the 35-foot Riviera Blue Water.

Their five-hour charter provided an opportunity to enjoy Cabo San Lucas sportfishing together during the first day of the new year.

The confirmed fishing result consisted of one marlin, making billfish the only species recorded for the outing.

With two guests aboard, the reservation represented a smaller private fishing group compared with larger charters scheduled during the holiday period.

The marlin catch contributed another documented billfish result to Blue Water's January fishing records.

Five Hours Define This Cabo Morning Fishing Charter

The January 1 excursion was scheduled to depart at 9:00 AM and return at 2:00 PM.

Oscar was assigned as captain aboard Blue Water for Brian and Holly's private outing.

The guests requested lunch instead of breakfast, matching their midmorning departure schedule.

The fishing results featured one marlin, with no additional species included in the catch record.

This five-hour excursion provided a later departure than the early-morning schedules often associated with Cabo fishing trips.

Final Catch Record: Blue Water, Oscar, two guests, five scheduled hours, one marlin.

The January 1 charter adds another documented marlin catch to Blue Water's Cabo San Lucas fishing history, opening 2026 with a private two-guest sportfishing experience.
