A Marlin Encounter Highlights This Cabo Afternoon Fishing Charter

Doug and Vicki joined Captain Jorge aboard the Blue Star for a private Cabo sportfishing excursion on October 12.

Their four-hour itinerary was scheduled from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, providing an afternoon dedicated to fishing in the waters surrounding Cabo San Lucas.

The charter's defining result was one marlin that was hooked but ultimately lost.

Although the fish was not landed, the encounter represents a documented billfish hookup during the outing.

No additional species or successful catches were reported.

A Lost Marlin Defines This Cabo Offshore Fishing Charter

Marlin are among the signature billfish associated with Cabo San Lucas fishing, making them an important target for anglers exploring the region's offshore waters.

For Doug and Vicki, the October 12 outing produced one marlin encounter without a confirmed landed catch.

The available fishing record does not specify the marlin species, estimated size, hookup time, fishing technique, or precise offshore location.

The final record distinguishes the lost marlin from a successful catch, documenting two guests, a scheduled four-hour charter, and one unsuccessful billfish hookup.
