Offshore Fishing Experience

Joe and Giovanni joined Blue Sky Cabo aboard Blue Water for a morning charter that delivered an interesting combination of billfish and shark action.

The five-hour outing produced two marlin, making billfish the dominant catch of the day. A black shark added another species to the results, bringing the total to three fish.

The charter included a dredge, an offshore fishing tool designed to create the appearance of schooling baitfish beneath the surface. This equipment is commonly used to attract predatory fish, particularly marlin, into the trolling spread.

With Captain Oscar operating the 35' Riviera, the two guests enjoyed a private fishing experience focused on Cabo's offshore opportunities.

Estimated Hookup Times

The following timeline illustrates how the three catches could have been distributed throughout the scheduled charter:

• 7:45 AM: First marlin
• 9:10 AM: Second marlin
• 10:35 AM: Black shark

Estimated times; actual hookups were not timestamped.

Fishing Conditions

Cabo San Lucas offers offshore habitat for billfish and other large marine predators. The combination of two marlin and one black shark made this June outing a multispecies fishing experience aboard Blue Water.
