Eight Hours of Marlin Fishing Aboard Blue Star

On April 20, 2026, Blue Sky Cabo's Blue Star hosted a five-person group led by Ben for a full-day fishing adventure in Cabo San Lucas. The charter departed at 6:00 AM, providing eight hours on the water before its scheduled 2:00 PM return.

Captain Jorge operated the 32-foot Luhrs, with a dredge included in the fishing setup. This technique uses an underwater teaser system to create the appearance of schooling baitfish, helping attract billfish toward the boat.

The day's confirmed catch was one marlin, giving the group a notable result during their offshore outing. Marlin are among Cabo's most sought-after gamefish, recognized for their strength, speed, and challenging fights.

The charter also included drone service coordinated with Oscar, adding an aerial media component to the fishing experience. Photography and media content from the trip were subsequently processed.

Fishing Conditions and Catch Summary

The eight-hour schedule allowed the group an extended offshore fishing session. With five guests aboard, the Blue Star completed its charter with one confirmed marlin catch. The dredge formed part of the fishing equipment, while drone coverage provided an additional way to document the outing.
