A very slow week at Puerto Morelos, lacking anglers for the boats.
According to the Fleet Manager, Armando Gutierrez, there were only 3
fishing days for the week but the fishing was filled with good
action. The overall fish counts reflected 1 sailfish, (unusual for
this time of year) 13 giant barracuda, 1 red snapper, 1 yellow
snapper, 1 amberjack and 3 triggerfish
PM Climate: Mostly cloudy with seasonal pm showers, high humidity and temps from 77 nights to 97 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: The normal, easterly tropical breezes at 10-15 knots with light surface wind chop, temps at 82-83 degrees throughout the area.
Best Bait/Lure: The rigged ballyhoo still the favorite bait for this region
