Surface water temp is sitting at 75 degrees. Algae is growing fast and water levels are very low. The boat ramp will be pulled as soon as the water drops to a level that is unsafe for use.
Rainbow trout, brown trout, tiger trout and wiper were stocked this spring. Trout fishing remains fair to good in the early mornings and late evenings, with most catches measuring 12″-18″ and several over 20″. Nymphs under and indicator and dry fly patterns are preferred with warming temperatures. Spin casters will have luck floating PowerBait or worms just off the bottom. Bass fishing is good, with fish hanging around rocky outcroppings and submerged vegetation. Wacky rig Senkos, flukes under a dropshot, and chatterbaits with trailers are some recommended set ups. As of July 1, anglers can keep 1 black bass and 1 wiper. Minimum size for black bass and wiper is 15 inches total length.
