NV Fish Report

Water temperature is measuring 62F. Shoreline fishing has been productive so far this spring, with anglers catching rainbow trout averaging 16-to-18-inches and tiger trout in the 12-to-14-inch range. There will also be 9-to-10 inch rainbow trout caught that were recently stocked. Trout are being caught on a variety of gear, including nightcrawlers, PowerBait, spinners (Mepps, Blue Fox, and Panther Martins), as well as wet flies behind a bubble. So far this spring, 5,292 rainbow trout averaging 9.5 inches and 7,061 brown trout averaging 9.3 inches have been stocked.

Largemouth bass activity should be picking up with the increase in water temperatures.

Northern pike are post-spawn and anglers looking to pursue northern pike should use flashy lures, RatL traps, and lures that resemble trout, bass, and bluegill that can be cast or trolled.  There is a limited bluegill fishery at Comins Lake, and anglers are encouraged to release bluegill to better establish their population.
