We did a exploratory trip in southern waters today. Took live bait down south of Halfmoon Bay harbor for the first time. Weather was flat and the rockfish responded with wide open fishing with a decent grade of blacks, reds, chinas, Cabazone and ling cod. We fished very shallow water all day.
Final count
280 rockfish (25 limits plus crew) to 6 pounds
40 ling cod to 16 pounds
11 cabazone to 8 pounds
