The boat skippers are reporting lots of billfish but they are not being overly cooperative with the biting and that has kept the overall average to just under a billfish per boat day fished. The "GAVIOTA VIII", skippered by Captain Juan Dominguez, was the high boat producer for the week, reflectting 1 blue marlin, (under 300 lbs.) 1 sailfish, 1 striper, along with 10 dorado and 15 yellowfin tuna ffor his 5 fishing days. The overall combined fish counts for the Gaviota & Fish Cabo Fleets reflected a total of 1 blue marlin, 18 stripers, (10 releases) 4 sailfish, (2 releases) 19 yellowfin tuna and 28 dorado for a total of 39 days fished.

Cabo Climate: Seasonally warm with temps from 76 nights to 99 daytime highs, scattered clouds and a bit of humidity.

Sea Conditions: Excellent on both sides of the peninsula, from 82 on the Golden Gate Bank and rising to 85 on the Gorda Bank

Best Fishing Area: Out to the south of Cabo Falso and around to the 95 Fathom Spot.

Best Lure/Bait: Live bait was very important for the billfish, albeit, a few were being taken on lures, but no dominant colors reported.

Live Bait Supply: Good live bait supply.
